FIVB Indoor Volleyball World Grand Prix Update

USA Women look to hold on to Number 1 FIVB ranking against China

The match will take place in CenturyLink Arena in Omaha, Nebraska on Sunday afternoon and will be televised by NBC.  Coverage will begin at 1 p.m. Eastern time.

Before that, a pair of matches will highlight the Saturday night docket:

Team USA (the only undefeated team left in competition) will take on Brazil (2-1), while China (1-2) will take on Russia in the other match.

Led by multiple Gold Medal indoor/beach champion Karch Kiraly, the American women have been clicking on all cylinders thus far.  The USA beat previously undefeated Russia on Friday night in four sets (26-24, 19-25, 25-16, 25-22).

Leading the charge were Karsta Lowe with 22 points overall in the match, while Kimberly Hill chipped in with 15 points.

China is currently #3 ranked in the world, right behind Brazil.

It should be an interesting match of volleyball superpowers.

I hope to provide a recap if I get some time.  Should be fun to watch.
