Rio Roundup: Day Two, Part Two

The medal count grows for USA Swimming

Katie Ledecky does it again, capturing gold in the women’s 400 meter freestyle.

Michael Phelps matches Michael Jordan’s most famous number

Make it 23 overall medals adding more to his legend, 19 of them gold as Team USA avenged losing out to France in London by edging out the French in .61 of a second on Sunday night.

NBC analyst and former Olympic gold medalist Rowdy Gaines explained clearly why Michael Phelps was able to stay under water for more than 15 meters–a full second and a half than the next fastest man during that portion of the 4 x 100 relay.

The relay team was made up of Caeleb Dressel, Michael Phelps, Ryan Held and newcomer Nathan Adrian.
Hearty congratulations to all of the swimmers.  Job well done!
